About Zealous Bellus

Lead singer, Dana, entertaining the crowd while performing on top of the Monster Bus, a traveling venue, while in Westbrook, Maine

Zealous Bellus is one of the newest and most exciting blues and rock inspired bands from the Central Maine area. They have been featured in 3 magazines, countless newspaper articles and have an extensive list of accomplishments since their inception in late 2012. Among their most notable achievements are: placing 3rd at Maine's Got Talent 2014 with a powerful rendition of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing", with a tip of the hat to Stevie Ray Vaughan's version. The group was the only full band to have ever receive a top 3 placement in the history of the competition. Actually, around the same time that year, their guitarist, Chuck, was entered into an online competition with the very same song, in which he placed 33rd out of THOUSANDS of entries from all around the world. Another notable feat for Zealous Bellus, was being the featured band at the live taping for a new cable TV show, called "Menues and Venues" while performing on top of the Monster Bus (yes, a traveling venue!).
The group has provided entertainment and garnered attention from all over the state, performing in Portland, Bangor, and everywhere in between, as well as having their original music played on radio stations- such as WTOS 105.1 and Z105.5- and various internet radio shows reaching all around the world. Members of the band have had extensive sound engineering experience, through both live and recorded mediums, and therefore provide an excellent, clear and powerful sound quality at each and every venue, regardless of room size, location and outside environmental factors. They also cater to their audience in a way that no other band can rival. With song lists that span from the 1920s all the way up through the sounds of today, and with an astonishing 8 hours of performance material, they can target their crowds effectively, whether they are performing in front of children, young adults or even retired ladies and gentlemen in their 80s!
